Now imagine a city-dwelling artsy-type couple living in Los Angeles, CA. Their roots were in Cincinnati, (along with three kids and three grandkids). They both attended and graduated from Anderson High School.
They enjoy having fun and have been truly blessed throughout life’s adventures. They share many common interests including art, travel, gardening, cooking, baking, horses, dogs, and grand children.
All About Wes
Wes Boatman is a composer, producer and recording artist. He holds a B.F.A. in Film and Electronic Music from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
From the age of six, Wes has played piano and keyboards, always seeking to create new and unique sounds. As an electronic musician and pop keyboard player, he has performed with the Ohio Players. As a Studio Musician and Programmer, he has programmed synthesizers and performed on Gold and Platinum Records with international acclaimed artists including Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, Midnight Star, Junie Morrison, P-Funk, and many others. His own recording career includes several solo outings, including Ghostwolf, which was very popular in the Asia-Pacific rim.
As a film and TV composer, Wes has scored the award-winning films Brotherly Love, Our Father, The Elevator, The Movement, and In the Net for Producer/Director Jim Freedman. He has contributed songs and underscoring for numerous primetime television series including Melrose Place, 90210, Friends, 20/20, Law & Order, Fox Sports News, and the NBC/Jackie Collins mini-series Lady Boss. Wes has also scored several daytime series including the NBC drama Passions, Guiding Light, As the World Turns, Another World, All My Children as well as the European series Riviera.
Wes has been nominated thirteen times for daytime EMMY Awards in the Outstanding Composition category, and has won the award eight times. He has been nominated three times for the EMMY for Best Original Song, winning in 2007. He has also won BMI's highly coveted TV/Film Music Award seven times.
All about Carolyn
Carolyn Boatman is an artist, teacher, and lecturer. She is known best for her “Edu-tainment Series” made popular through “Words Made Visual.” Her most widely acclaimed themes include “Creativity, Everyone Has It,” Squeeze Those Creative Juices,” “Famous Women of 20th Century History,” and “Soul Printing Sojourn.” She studied Mosaic at the Cincinnati Art Academy, Oil Painting at the California Institute of Art under Bobbie Moline-Kramer, and Mixed Media Abstract with Cynthia Ebin from Pepperdine University. As a member of the Topanga Canyon Gallery, her works were on display at the Gallery, the Artist’s Garden Tours, and at “The Brewery” in downtown LA, sponsored by the LA Artcore. The Soul Printing Sojourn was developed while living in Southern California and is based on techniques she learned while studying with Cynthia Ebin from Pepperdine.
Carolyn worked professionally as an Event Coordinator and Meeting Planner and over the years has planned many programs and events for the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, Words Made Visual, Towne Properties, American Tectonics, Western-Southern Life, Midwest Leadership Group, and Handle With Care.
As a teacher and public speaker, she served as a consultant to Independent Retail Associations. She has traveled throughout the US speaking on New Trends in Retail and Internet Shopping/Fulfillment. She has also conducted classes in the Art of Pie Baking.
She is a gifted teacher and now with unlimited creativity at her fingertips, who knows what this talented lady will produce.
